A zesty, tender salmon recipe with fresh dill, parsley, and lemon for a quick weeknight or summer dinner. Perfectly grilled on the outside and moist inside, this high-protein, healthy dish delivers gourmet flavors with minimal effort in under 30 minutes.

Ingredients

Scale

4 boneless, skinless salmon fillets (6 oz each)
3 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
1 large lemon, juiced (about 3 tablespoons)
2 tablespoons fresh chopped dill
2 tablespoons fresh chopped parsley
1 teaspoon garlic powder
½ teaspoon sea salt
¼ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

Instructions

Preheat your heat source: Turn your outdoor grill or grill pan to medium-high (about 400°F to 450°F) and let it heat up for 5 minutes to ensure nice grill marks.
Prepare the marinade: In a small mixing bowl, whisk together the olive oil, fresh lemon juice, chopped dill, fresh parsley, garlic powder, sea salt, and black pepper until fully combined.
Marinate salmon: Pat the salmon fillets completely dry with paper towels to guarantee a perfect sear. Brush both sides generously with the herb mixture.
Grill the fish: Place the salmon skin-side down on the hot grates. Cook for exactly 4 minutes without moving them to develop beautiful char lines.
Flip and finish: Carefully flip each fillet using your spatula. Cook for another 3 to 4 minutes until the center turns opaque and flakes gently when tested with a fork.
Serve immediately: Remove the fish from the heat and serve with simple sides like grilled vegetables, steamed greens, or a crisp salad.

Notes

Patting the salmon fillets dry ensures a better sear and prevents flare-ups on the grill.
Use a fish spatula for flipping to avoid tearing the fillets.
Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
For extra flavor, toss sides with lemon zest and fresh herbs while the salmon finishes cooking.
