Ingredients

Scale

1.5 pounds boneless, skinless chicken thighs or breasts
1 teaspoon salt
0.5 teaspoon black pepper
0.5 teaspoon paprika
2 tablespoons cornstarch
2 tablespoons olive oil
4 cloves garlic, minced
1/3 cup honey
1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
2 tablespoons water
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger (optional)
1 teaspoon cornstarch mixed with 1 tablespoon water (for thickening)
1 tablespoon chopped green onions (garnish)
1 teaspoon sesame seeds (garnish, optional)

Instructions

Pat chicken dry. Season with salt, pepper, paprika, and 2 tbsp cornstarch.
Whisk together honey, soy sauce, water, lemon juice, and ginger.
Heat 2 tbsp olive oil in a skillet over medium-high. Sear chicken 5-6 minutes per side.
Stir garlic in skillet until fragrant. Return chicken and add sauce mixture.
Simmer, spooning sauce onto chicken. Thicken with cornstarch slurry if needed.
Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds before serving.
