A bold black tea base layered with ripe peach puree, homemade syrup, and bright lemon juice creates this summer classic with perfect balance between tart, sweet, and aromatic

Ingredients

4 family-size black tea bags (or 12 regular tea bags)
6 cups water
45 fresh ripe peaches
1 ½ cups granulated sugar
1 cup peach nectar
½ cup fresh lemon juice (3 lemons)
Fresh mint leaves
Ice

Instructions

Peel and slice peaches. Blend 2 cups with ½ cup water into puree
Simmer 2 cups water + sugar with 2 cups peaches until syrupy
Boil 4 cups water, add tea bags, steep 5-7 minutes
Strain peaches into tea, stir in puree/lemon juice/nectar
Chill 2+ hours before serving with mint and ice

Notes

Chill at least 2 hours for full flavor
Add extra mint during chilling
Store covered 3-5 days in fridge
Double peaches for stronger flavor
