A refreshing summer drink combining sweet watermelon and zesty lemon. Naturally gluten-free, this no-cook beverage is perfect for hot days and gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale

6 cups seedless watermelon, cubed
¾ cup fresh lemon juice (about 45 large lemons)
½ cup granulated sugar (or honey for a natural option)
4 cups cold water
1 cup ice cubes
Fresh mint leaves and lemon slices for garnish

Instructions

Cut watermelon into cubes and remove seeds.
Blend watermelon on high until smooth (30–45 seconds).
Strain puree through a fine mesh strainer, pressing liquid into a pitcher.
Whisk lemon juice and sugar until sugar dissolves.
Combine lemon-sugar mixture, water, and strained watermelon in the pitcher.
Chill with ice cubes and serve with mint and lemon garnish.

Notes

Use fully ripe watermelon for optimal sweetness
For a stronger citrus flavor, add 1–2 tablespoons of fresh lime juice
Straining removes excess pulp and creates a smoother texture
